Creating a beautiful floral arrangement for your wall or door requires just a little bit of inspiration. Depending on your location, seasonal fresh cuts are always my favorite but with an exposed front door, I often have to rely on the sturdiness of artificial plants and flowers. In the images pictured above I color-coordinated artificial sprigs of gypso, lavender and eucalyptus purchased at Michael’s. But the pièce de résistance is my handmade Flopsy & Family Farm Easter Flowers sign.
For those who have their own laser cutter, it’s easy to upscale an ordinary container. In this case, I used both a tobacco basket (pictured left) and a flat-backed wall basket (pictured right) and added some panache with a custom mini-size. If you don’t own a laser cutter, I offer my signs ready-to-use on my Etsy shop, for use with either type of basket/container. One hangs from twine (which can then later be used as an ornament) and the other comes with two additional drilled holes for attaching to any type of basket.
Flat Backed Wall-Hanging Baskets
This Easter florals DIY is self-explanatory, but if you’d like to use a tobacco basket (or even a small barn door or window frame) instead of a traditional wall-hanging basket for your flowers, you’ll need to purchase a wreath ring and some floral wire. Whereas with the basket you attached your sign directly to the basket, other variations will require you to hang the tag within the floral arrangement.
Instead of attaching your sign to the actual basket, you will hang it from the ring, while hiding the twine behind the flowers.
